Tenant portal guide
For residents: sign in, see rent status, payment history and receipts, give vacate notice, and report issues or maintenance through Fayvad Property.
If you rent a unit managed in Fayvad Property, you may receive access to the tenant portal. This guide describes what the portal is designed to show and do today.
Who the portal is for
The portal is for current tenants linked to a landlord organisation that uses full Fayvad Property (managed engagement). It is not the same as a Qeja seeker account. Seekers looking for a home should use Qeja instead.
Signing in
Use the dedicated tenant login at /accounts/login/tenant/.
After a successful login, the product routes field staff, seekers, and landlords to different homes;
tenants land on their tenant dashboard for their linked tenant record.
Dashboard
Your dashboard typically summarises:
- A month rent snapshot — what was due, what was paid, and what may still be due for the period shown
- A short lease summary for your active agreement
- Recent payments recorded against your tenancy
Figures come from office records in Fayvad Property. If something looks wrong, contact your landlord or managing office rather than assuming the public website can reverse a payment.
Payments and receipts
From the tenant payments area you can review payment history. For completed payments, the product can show a payment receipt generated from Fayvad Property records (branded as Fayvad Property on the receipt page).
The portal is built around transparency of recorded payments. It is not primarily marketed as a full self-service “pay rent online now” wallet for every property — ask your office which payment channels they accept (M-Pesa, bank, etc.) and how they match references.
Vacate notice
When you need to leave, use the vacate notice flow in the portal. The system uses your agreement’s notice period in days (software default 30 if unset). Submitting notice records your intent and prompts management to confirm move-out and deposit handling.
See also Rent, deposits, and notice for the distinction between product fields and legal advice.
Help: issues and maintenance
From the help / portal tools you can:
- Report an issue (internally tracked as a complaint) — subject, description, priority/category as offered in the form
- Open or follow maintenance requests related to your unit
- Jump back to payments when you need history or receipts
Use clear descriptions and photos if your process allows attachments via the office — accurate reports speed resolution.
What tenants should not expect in the portal
- Publishing or editing Qeja listings (that is a landlord/lister face)
- Seeing other tenants’ data or the full landlord dashboard
- Automatic legal determination of deposit refunds or rent disputes
Privacy and access
Your portal view is scoped to your tenant record and related payments, lease, and requests. If your tenancy ends, access may be revoked by the managing office according to their process.
